The Heart Behind Vesper & Loam
My passion for supporting others is rooted in both personal experience and years of caring for individuals and families through life’s most meaningful transitions.
When I welcomed my son at 36 weeks through an unexpected cesarean birth, I remember feeling overwhelmed and unprepared. I wished I had someone beside me to offer reassurance, guidance, and a greater understanding of my choices.
My experiences navigating fertility care further shaped my purpose. I know what it feels like to leave appointments feeling unheard, with questions unanswered and concerns overlooked. Through those experiences, I learned the importance of understanding my options, asking questions, and advocating for myself. Having the knowledge to speak up gave me the confidence to take a more active role in my care. It reinforced a belief I carry into my work: knowledge creates confidence, and everyone deserves to feel empowered in their own care.
My commitment to supporting others began long before becoming a doula. I spent four years working as a mother’s assistant, caring for mothers and their families, and three years volunteering in hospice, offering companionship and comfort during life’s final chapter.
I am a certified fertility doula through IAP Career College, have completed DONA International birth doula and childbirth education training, and have completed a certified end-of-life doula training course. I also hold a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, with studies in human development across the lifespan.
Through Vesper & Loam, I offer compassionate support through fertility, birth, loss, and life’s final transitions. Whether you’re hoping to welcome new life, preparing for birth, navigating pregnancy loss, or accompanying a loved one through their end-of-life journey, my purpose is to provide a steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and a space where you feel truly heard.
My approach weaves together education, emotional support, mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork, always honoring the individuality of each journey.
Because every beginning, every ending, and every moment in between deserves to be met with care.
